London and Brighton
As a photographer, you think that having bright sunny days would be the best. Or maybe thats what others think you want as a photographer. But I find it a little boring to be honest. Don’t get me wrong, chasing shadows and capturing the warmth and light in places is fantastic, but I seem to get more enjoyment from when theres real drama in the skies.
I took a drive into Brighton (I’d originally aimed for London, but time was going to be tight) and as I neared, I had that excitment, fog, deep greyness covering the South Downs. It just added another level of potential to the days wander.
Its another challenge, to quickly try and work out where you want to go first.
So I ditched the car at the station and dropped straight into the lanes and with a black and white recipe thats my go to currently, I was off.
We all need a challenge now and again, a way to get the mind thinking differently.
